Forums - Nintendo - Game Informer full of little kids

I think Jeff was specifically trying to piss off Kid Icarus fans with that one. I'm assuming it will succeed. - Dan Ryckert, Game Informer

lol, sounds bullshit. I bet the guy just didn't know what the hell he was talking about, and Dan Ryckert is just covering for him. I can't believe stuff this ignorant can be posted by someone who is supposedly a videogame fan, much less a paid journalist.

There is no way anyone can frame this as a "joke."

Also, WTF, lukewarm response for Brawl? Didn't the game sell like crack and get amazing reviews?

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

Yeah, this is called worrying about the details too much.  It's a joke.

(I think, I'm only 99% sure, but I do trust my perception of reality more than people who freak out over jokes and think video game related factual errors are worse than likening a generation of your fellow forumites to cancer .)

Yes, but it's an ignorant factual error mixed with insults that every member of this forum knew was incorrect the moment we read it.

I'm not saying people who weren't born early enough to enjoy the NES as a current platform are cancer, but I am saying that people who are ignorant enough to write a small article flaming a videogame character they know absolutely nothing about, shouldn't be paid for it.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

First, I want to apologize, I've decided this must be a joke. 2 things.

A. The article claims Brawl got a lukewarm reception. It's one of the highest selling games this generation, it has a 93 on metacritic, and a 95 from Gameinformer themselves.

B. The article claims that Kid Icarus was created for SSB:B when he is actually a very well known iconic Nintendo character.

It is impossible that any journalist could create such a pair of epic fails in such a short paragraph, without intending to do it.

I can't speculate on his motives, but I find irony and ignorance of this level to be impossible, and thus, this is obviously a "stunt."
