I'm not blowing this out of proportion.

I can dictate her the entire dialogue, starting from the fight against Brynhildr to the end of Chapter 8, but I won't. Thread has too many damn spoilers as it is.

You can easily look up youtube videos for it.

And it's pretty easy to see that Sazh's realizations were directly affected by Vanille's actions. If he had been alone, he would have taken the other way out, just like he wanted to do. But he didn't. I guess that you also consider Vanille as to having no effect in that too.

You're basically saying Vanille's relevance to the plot in the middle of the game was this:

She was able to help Sazh through him finding out that Vanille turned Dajh into a l'Cie and helping Sazh develop his character into discovering that the fal'Cie were the real enemy and then Sazh helped out in the fight by doing something you haven't explained.

Vanille remotely characterized Sazh, didn't directly characterize him. His own character growth came through his own thoughts, not what Vanille said to him.

Chapter 8 is the ONLY chapter where I liked Vanille.....it was very well done & I actually felt sympathetic towards her for once in that chapter.

You know that's how each character's characterization happens in the game. Each character influences one another indirectly. Sazh's dilemma also indirectly influenced Vanille's growth and departure from her original feelings of fear and guilt.

What I'm saying, since this whole debate started, is that Vanille has as much relevance to the plot as the other 5 characters. I agree though, that after chapter 10, her importance dies a lot though, but until then, break down each individual chapter and you'll find no difference between her importance and Sazh, Hope, Snow, Fang and Lightning's importance.

So you saying that she's useless for the majority of the game, has no actual validity, outside the scope of what this trully is about. You trolling her whenever you have the chance.

Chapters 3-10 were largely piddling about. There was no solid plot in that time span.

All of the characters were equally as useful during then. By which I mean none of them had huge uses.

After Chapter 10, she has almost no use at all until the end of the game.

So yeah, I think her usefulness throughout the game is very low.

If only she had a different voice actress :(

Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.

Meh her actions annoy me more than that. I detest her type of characters in JRPG's, with her they took it to the max in earlier chapters due to plot reasons, she wanted to be extra cheery because she was actually lying to each & every one of them....she's sly I'll give her that.

When she got depressed (due to guilt) in Chapter 8 she became bearable & I felt sorry for her. The voice acting really didn't bother me that much on her

EDIT: and the way she tried to protect sazh at the start of brynhildr's battle was awesome

But in chapter 10....back to normal vanille
