Advance War is a turn-based war sim full of strategy. It's addictive as hell.

It originally designed for GBA....so it looked so bad.......
but the gameplay surpass everything....read some reviews of it, you will know how good it is!(Second best nds game of all time)

Age of Empires, Zoo Tycoon, Advance Wars, and Mario Kart are all essentials in my eyes.

It's awesome. It's the gold standard of hardcore strategy titles.
It's been mentioned already but get Elite Beat Agents, best hand held game ever!
And you already have the two Castlevanias. Those are my 3 favorite DS games.

Play the Megaman Zero games.
Dragon Quest Monsters and Custom Arena Robo. All the others recomended are good to. Although if you really like tactics games Luminous Arc would be a must.
Boycotting the following:
1. Yoshi: He ate my car and spit out a toaster.
2. Igglybuff: Totally false advertisement. You can have as many as you like they don't buff nothing.
3. the Terms Hardcore/Softcore... We're talking Video Games. Not Porn.
4. The term Casual as relates to Gamers: We make them sound like outsider's that happen to play games. If that were the case they'd own a PS3.
5. Donuts.... Beacause I drink Beer...... and the biggest fan of Donuts hates Beer.
6. Boycotts: Their so lame.
You HAVE to get Mario Kart DS. That's the only must-have game I have on my DS.
But I don't play mine that much, so I'm sure there are many others.
