Forums - Nintendo - Tales of Innocence

I think part of it is that this forum seems unexcited about the DS in general but more over we seem to focus more on the next month or so in terms of releases rather than worrying about 3-6 months down the line. At least in terms of what games we are looking forward to.

"Tales of" play more like RPG than ARPG. Only the battles have action, and in Tales of Symphonia, that was only if you wanted to. You could play it like a traditional RPG. The battle engine allows for that, which is one of these games greatness.
Anyway, there's no way I can play so many RPG on the DS, I still haven't finished completing FFTA (100 hours in already, I'm half through).
But it looks very good, I'll surely get it one day.

Well, I agree the DS is mostly ignored on this forum, but people certainly hype games months and months away.  Examples:  SSBB, MGS4, FFXII (more like 2 years for this one), No More Heroes, etc.  Lots of games get attention on all platforms on this site except for handhelds.

There are only 10 or so people who even bother trying to get information out about handheld games and the other forum members seem to view PSP and DS games with apathy, as if the systems are incapable of delivering the fun they get out of their home consoles.  It's too bad, because the handhelds have so much to offer this generation. Especially for RPG fans.

I made it about half way into Tales of Symphonia and stopped because I just was not interested anymore in the storyline. Like any game it is hit or miss really.

I'm not sure if Bod was trying to post the newest trailers, because the old one is up there now and the new one really delivers when it comes to the technical and graphical accomplishments of Innocence.

Anyways, here are the two new trailers:

I really hope Namco brings this one over. If they don't, I'll......import.

How would you do that in Symphonia? I know about the auto battle system, but that's not the same as making it play like a convetional RPG.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I think I'll choose between ToI and FF4 because I have a limited budget and for now I lend toward ToI.
Then there is DQ9 , a sure buy.
Thoght I hope these goodness will arrive to Europe.
