The Last Story receiving extended production time

The only thing we’ve heard about The Last Story’s release date is that the game is supposed to launch in Japan sometime this year. Although that can still happen, it seems as though development will carry on a bit longer than expected. Hironobu Sakaguchi updated his blog yesterday and told fans that production time has been extended. This news is somewhat odd as Sakaguchi recently said that the game was approaching the end of development. However, it’s possible that something simple such as the need for extra polish resulted in the title’s “delay.” It seems very likely that The Last Story will make an appearance at E3, so hopefully Nintendo will officially announce the game for North America and share a concrete release date for all territories.

Well at least we know he's near the end of development, so this is probably polishing things up, VA & so on. Hopefully we do get a trailer at E3 & an official announcement for NA/EU!

Doesn't bother me. Means more time I can spend on Xenoblade.

This is perfect news. It means that the game will have more time to be worked on and blow us away with polished things.
