Forums - Microsoft - Most realistic pricing for Natal/Wave SKUs?

Most have read the recent speculation from MCV that MS is planning on selling Natal/Wave add-on kits for $149.99, which until confirmed at the MS E3 keynote, remains in the category of speculation.

Similar lines of speculation have a Natal/Wave & Arcade bundle being priced at the same current price of the 120GB SKU Elite at $299.

These are both a far cry from some of the more enthusiastic (albeit unrealistic) predictions that MS would be releasing an Arcade/Natal bundle for $199 (some went so far as to guess $149).

At the same time, the rumor of a $149 launch price for the Natal add-on kit seem too high.

Realistically, what would consumers find to be the most attractive (and realistic) bundle pricing for Natal?

$299 for the redesigned 360 console, plus 250GB HDD and Natal kit would be an attractive package IMO.

Natal add-on kit for under $100.

Arcade SKU remains available as a starter option, at the current price or a slight reduction at $179.99. No Natal bundle in this scenario.

We'll find out in about two weeks.

Look, he's watching E3 in the future, and its showing Natals price!!!

lol, Its gonna have the kind of effect as the $599 US dollars did.

$150...and when/if it's announced those who say it's a bad price will suddenly start defending it like the best price ever ;) we shall see in 2 weeks

$60-70

MS can take a loss and want to expand their marketshare, that'd be the perfect price for that purpose.

Why do I keep hearing about this "xbox Slim"???

and frankly, at 299 for the arcade with no harddrive. xbox needs to do A LOT not only to convince people this is better than PS3... but more importantly, it needs to convince people this is a better casual machine than the 120 dollars cheaper Wii.

Also.... has there EVER been a demo of 4 players playing "Wave" at once? don't want to buy this game and have Well BAM moments

"Bam" moments will be the defining feature for multiplayer Natal games. How is this a negative?!

I'm also looking forward to the inevitable "I punched my HDTV and broke the screen/my hand while playing" story.

Natal will likely be the add-on that opens up its use in the living room to more than just the core gamer audience that makes up the majority of the Xbox user base.

If we see any innovative usage within core games, that will be a welcome bonus, but I have a hard time seeing controllerless control schemes becoming the standard interface for Xbox bread and butter franchises like Call of Duty, Halo, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Fable, etc. Supplementary interface at most.

$60-70 (which is what I guessed would be the most likely, consumer friendly price) would be accessible enough for any current Xbox owner who was remotely interested in controllerless control schemes to pick one up. I'm not entirely convinced that price would convince anyone who was interested in buying a Wii to go with the Xbox instead, even if the bundle price was the same as the current Wii bundle (with Sports Resort and M+).

Anything above $100 on the other hand, pretty much takes it out of the immediate purchase category for most without a genuine killer app to sell the peripheral.

99$, But an exclusive ingame outfit for Ricochet when you Pre-Order at GameStop! Also there will be a5 game powertrade to bring off 20$ and it'll be 95$ used! That seems realistic..
