Zelda Wii trying to match MH3 graphics

Total:0

Twilight Princess isnt really the wii's potential, im expecting the latest zelda game to be way better then twilight princess in the graphics department

No! It must be better, MH3 is not top notch graphics.

I'm 100% sure Zelda Wii will look infinitely better than MH3.

I'm guessing like how Galaxy looked compared to Mario Sunshine.

I hope the next Zelda takes all the potential of the Wii's power like Galaxy to do something amazing. I mean... don't try to match MH3's graphics, they are at Twilight Princess' level.

I just want elda Wii to look awesome like a HD game, which will happen knowing nintendo

just a fwe more days to find out

Zelda and MH3 are not so easy to compare, zelda is mostly made of closed or in any cases small enviroments (dungeons), while in MH3 you're put in much wider areas with often a lot of moving mosters inside it, it's far more hard to make a game look good in wider enviroments, you really have to puch the rendering capabilities to the limits, capcom developers have made a great job on this....if you look at the wide areas in twilight pricess, they look much less crafted and detailed (the monents when you're riding the horse) so it may be true that Zelda developers find challening to beat them on those wider enviroments.

However even in smaller areas, I think that MH3 looks a bit better in 70% of cases.

Monster Hunter Tri is a beautiful game, but in my opinion it is no showcase as it is SMG2, by instance. I do agree too that Twilight Princess does look beter than in some cases, but locations seem more  alive in MHT.

That would be great!

I agree with the OP. Capcom did a marvelous job in regards to it's use of poly count and textures. I'm willing to admit a potentially better job that Twilight Princess. What CAPCOM consistently FAILS AT is using the TEV. The TEV is NGC/Wii Shader chip. Would any Xbox, PC, PS3, 360 fan be happy if there Gfx shader chips were barely used or not even used at all? So why is Capcom completly not even trying to use the TEV?

From a model/poly design Capcom has shown crafting prowess. From a technical perspective of design however. You might as well look at Ubizoft Horsez or Babyz. They pretty much stand on part with MH3 graphical technical prowess. I mean it. I'm not joking. Though remember I'm specifically referring to graphical technical prowess. not graphical presentation.

So will Zelda Wii surpass MH3. Oh hell yeah. Nintendo at least tries to make simple use of the TEV. Yes I personally think Nintendo is pretty shitty at using there own chip. At least Nintendo does use it. So they are trying and it does show. TP while on the model and poly design isn't equal to MH3. It's technical prowess is seen. It's one of the reasons why a Game Cube Game stands toe to toe with Wii games. That's sad if you think about it. That TP is a NGC game not a Wii game and there are few games that look better than TP.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Zelda Wii is going to be the best game ever, just saying.
