Notepad??? Well, being that this site is in PHP, i guess.

I use Java at work written with Eclipse.
For my database codin' I use Toad.

At home I prefer .NET (ASP, VB, C#) as it is a lot more user friendly. Only real draw back is that it is not platform independent. In fact if it were I would predict the downfall of Java. Hell, the one thing MS has done right is C# in Visual Studio. Its really a great product.

 +1

I've never been a big supporter of Microsoft, but C# really is a great language.

another one here :),  i also use java@eclipse and for bd plsql at work.  Also c#@visual in my personal proyects.

i dont use notepad anymore but i learned java in it, and is probably the best way to learn how to write code.

Do I know you?

No, but I know what it's like to be programming. Notepad will always be the best programming tool :)

I used to do html straight from it instead of all the available WYSIWYG apps.

Are you joking? VIm is a million times better than notepad and vi has been better than notepad since before note pad and even Windows 9x existed.

Around the Network

it's Wii_Gamer. but he has renamed himself, much like prince, with a mysterious and unpronouncable symbol.

But we all look forward to the day he will announce his true fanboyism from the top of the mountain of nintendo's sales and go back to his original name.

There is no such thing as a console war. This is the first step to game design.

@Chadius wtf!!!

Seriously either one of those is the anti-christ in code form. I would rather use notepad or an old fashioned punch card for the love of god.

*Who* runs this sight. I take it that you want a name heh.

I think that the bitbag interview guy actually put ioi's name in the article written but i'm not gonna be an ass and out somebody

Thanks to kenobi after I got him to ban my old account (dallas) after someone hacked into it and being ok with me coming back under a slightly different username.  I appreciate our communication in the PMs.  Also I want to give a big thank you to vgchartz for being one of the cooler websites around.

Oh, and I'm still the next Michael Pachter
