and local multiplayer????
no local multiplayer no game!
Treyarch has done a great job with Wii CoD so far so this sould be good!
"Treyarch negotiating with Nintendo to nail down online details, such as no friend codes and WiiSpeak, but nothing is confirmed yet"
I like this part!

Me too.
But i have hope it will.
Should have good support. All of their other CoD games sold 1m or so. Definitely profitable. I'll buy if its as good as the others.
"Wii version built from the ground-up by a separate Treyarch team"
This is particularly good to hear.
Almost every HD-Wii multiplat where the Wii version is actually good was made for the ground-up instead of just ported over and downscaled. (e.g. Shaun White Road Trip)

So far so good. |
The negotion has, so far gone exactly like this
Treyarch - hey, can we has online without friend codes, but then the option to add friends?
Nintendo - you mean like Mario Kart?
Treyarch - exactly, oh, and can we have it so that Wii speak works even between people not on your friends list?
Nintendo - yeah, sure, our customers love having 12 year olds swearing at them while they play. LOLJK of course you can't
Treyarch - Please
Nintendo - No
Treyarch - Please
etc
The possibilities for voice chat are
Make it impossible to not hear voice chat - obviously the worst possible option
Don't have it - Not bad, not good, just neutral
Make it optional - The only people who have it turned on are 12 year old swearers and a handful who are using it for good, who will soon become bitter that no-one listens to them when they talk about the game/tactics - thus exactly the same as Don't have it, but with slightly more annoyance to nice people so slightly bad
Have it between frined's only - perfect :)
Please Nintendo, do not cave in. You know how to handle online, treyarch does not

Not quite a deal breaker for me, but if there is, it will be a first priority purchase.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
