I don't know about you but E3 is my second favorite time of year, second only too Christmas. Every year I watch E3 live and every year it impacts severly on what I purchase. I have to say the last three or so years it has dictated all of my years purchases. I know the day after E3 is over I go to EBGames with my list of games. I pre-order the games as soon as I can and sit back awaiting their launch dates.

In other words if a title impresses me at E3 I almost always buy the game. But if a game is a no show at E3 I rarely purchase the title. Is E3 that big of a factor to you, can your decision be made or broken by E3?

Just how much does E3 influence your purchases?

Release Final Fantasy Versus XIII nowwwwwwwwww!!! lol :P

I dictate my purchases.

different bits of news may influence my decisions, and E3 has quite a lot of gaming news... but that's all.

Sounds very silly to buy or not buy a game on a single event to me though.

No. I watch it to get news and hopefully laugh.

I do not think I have ever bought anything just because of E3. It might reaffirm my wanting/not wanting to purchase something, but never directly. I just want to hear news. That is what E3 does for me.

No, I just watch E3 just to see when the games are coming out.

no and for one reason, all new things shown at E3 never seem to come out till next year at EARLIEST.

so maybe E3 last year or 2 years ago or in like ff case 6 years ago maybe influences what i buy this year.

But 2010's e3 will most likely not include any NEW games i will buy this year.

The E3 is solely targeted at the non-gaming community, as weird as this may sound.

I am not the target audience for that drivel, so no, it doesn't dictate anything I do.

Not one bit. My buying patterns are extremely random...
