Forums - Nintendo - Hello Nintendians! please recommend me some Wii/DS goodness!

my Wii Collection is really small! , so i wanted to expand it but each time i go to buy some old Wii games that i missed i buy HD/PC games instead (there are a LOT of GREAT games coming out these days =/ )

i don't really care if its "Teh casualz!/Hardcore!" or if its "Rated M so its awesome!"

i just want games that are fun.

here are the games i own on the Wii

i only want fun games (i disliked MadWorld and Red Steel 2 btw) , i can get games a lot of people here hate like Super Monkey Ball because they're just plain fun so its okay if they're "nut manly enuff!"

as for DS i wan't to have all the good games on it once i get my 3DS (i hope its backwards compatible)

and please tell me why each game is good, i might not like it, thank you =]

I'm not going to overwhelm you with a huge list of titles, so here's my choices. I don't know if you liked Super Mario Galaxy, but SMG2 is GREAT as well. For DS, I'd look into either of the Zelda titles or for pure fun, try and find WarioWare Touched.

Hmm your Wii collection is actually about the same size as mine currently is (I had a ton more games at one point, but I have since sold many of them.) I see you got a lot of the good ones covered already, but here are some more I might recommend:

AAA Games

Monster Hunter Tri (one of Wii's best 3rd party games, with tons of depth and exploration. Also good online system.)
Little King's Story (HIGHLY overlooked 3rd party game on Wii)
Zelda: Twilight Princess
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
Mario Galaxy 2 (Have yet to play it, but from the several reviews I have seen and read, it looks amazing)

AA Games (great games worth picking up at $20-$40 but not quite full price worthy)

Mario Strikers (very solid and addictive online system)
Warioware Smooth Moves (ESPECIALLY if you plan on playing multiplayer)
Zack and Wiki (one of the best, most creative uses of Wii's controls)
House of the Dead: Overkill
Muramasa
Dawn of Discovery (A must if you like RTS/ God games)
Super Monkey Ball: BB (actually a very fun game, packed with content. Like Wii Sports mixed with Mario Party, and a fun single player game as well)
Big Brain Academy (surprisingly fun brain game, especially when going against friends)

DS:

NSMB
Yoshi's Island DS (at least if you like the first Yoshi's Island. I'm a bit biased, because the one on SNES is one of my favorite games)
Clubhouse Games (tons of well made games in one)
Mario Kart DS (overall solid addictive game, great online)
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
Rythm Heaven (frighteningly addictive and unique)
Pokemon Diamond/Pearl (self explanitory, it's a handheld pokemon!)
Animal Crossing DS (charming addictive sim game, that goes well with the DS features and portability)

Wii: Manhunt 2 was fun to me. Zelda, RE4, Klonoa.

DS: Orcs and Elves, StarFox, Phantasy Star Zero.

Get this game before anything else! It's the definition of fun, imho. Essential for a Wii owner, more than any other game.

Around the Network

Muramasa The Demon Blade Action- RPG?
Super Mario Galaxy 2- Platformer
A Boy and His Blob-Puzzle platformer
Sonic and Sega All star Racing - Kart Racing
RE 4 Wii -shooter
Animal Crossing- No clue what this fits under

There is a ton that I have on Wii and WiiWare that I like, but am not sure how much others did/will.

Good luck getting all the fun games on DS there is a ton

Oh, sorry! You already have NSMBWii! :)P
Well, that picture I posted is so beautiful I'll leave it there!

But, other than that game: The great game called trauma center is wonderful! Excelent use of motion controls! And if you like fighters, pick up Tatsunoko Vs Capcom too, the best fighter this gen... yes even better than SFIV in my opinion (you'll be amazed how crazy and wild this game is)!

NSBWii is my most played Wii game, i already finished it and now getting all the star coins , there is one level that made me retry endlessly

though i was surprised that the levels after this are very easy compared.

@bolded

Also! this might be a recommendation for me, but i'll recommend you a game, that is even better than TvsC

its BlazBlue Aka the best and most deep fighter EVER

the combat system is damn near perfect, the characters are fun and funny, the colors and music is top notch and the online is amazing.

and here is one that is surpring for a fighter .... the storyline is very engaging infact it can rival a lot of RPGs and i think they should expand this universe and make an RPG out of it.

watch this and you will see what i meant.

Hey, Yoshi Island never received any hate! It is praised! You're thinking of Yoshi's Story!
