I was at the game stores in the local mall recently to reserve some games I wanted and I couldn't help but notice that,

F.Y.E. sold at least a dozen consoles while I was browsing, but no portables,

while Game Stop sold numerous software, but few hardware units for any console.

Since neither place was taking preorders on what I came in for, I called places in NJ rather than by my campus, and found that DS stuff was largely out of stock, while many other items were in stock.

How are things near you?  I'm curious to see what - anecdotally - will get the biggest lift leading up to the week before Christmas. 

The store I work at has tons of everything except Wii and premium 360s. Not to say the other stuff isn't selling well, but we seem to get tons of DS, PS3 and PSPs each week

What is F.Y.E.?

My Best Buy had 4 diplays of DS, which had to be 500 total easy. Only thing I can not find is a Wii.


P.S Also Toys R Us has not gotten any more Resident Evil:UC, so I could trade back in the game I got that was just holding its spot in the buy 2 get 1 free deal.
