I'm trying to figure out what that part with Sakura and Naruto running around is....is that gameplay? Because it looks amazingly like the show.

Yeah same here, and with enough members I will create a VGC Naruto tournament to see who the best here.
@Nen/Torrilian: Yeah its in-game, I think they added the anime backgrounds to tighten the gap onto the game/anime experience.

Despite my hatred for this franchise, I will admit the game looks... interesting.
I'll pick it up once it gets cheap though.
