Forums - Gaming - Saddest scene in gaming? **SPOILERS**

badgenome said:

Yakuza 3: Rikiya dies. Only time I can remember tearing up because of a game.

Edit: Oh, also when Robo is leaving at the end of Chrono Trigger and Lucca is either crying at his feet or giving him a blowjob. Either way, I always find it very touching.

LOL

Here's one that I thought was really sad. On the cargo ship in Final Fantasy IX when the other mages were killed, you could just feel how sad Vivi was and it was overall just devastating. Also one of the reasons Vivi's my avatar.

I admit it's not the saddest scene ever but it was still good.

And the ending in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days was sad. Roxas losing everything he knew and loved and then made a desperate attempt to make everything normal again. I thought it was brilliant.

the music really makes that scene great. such a wonderful game. everything in that game makes me sad lol. especially the ending. my favorite in the series behind 7 and 4

IMO the saddest scene is this one (spoilers)

It's not a great murder scene where the character lost everything in his life, but it's really sad. If you never played Elite Beat Agents, it's a game where Cool-Funky Agents help people by dancing. The missions are really funny, exept for this one. It's even more sad when you fail the mission.

Elite Beat Agents suffers from the fact that every single mission is based on old cliches and used plotlines (I guess that's part of its humor) and this one wasn't that sad.

I find it really sad because it's something that can happen in real life. Something quite realistic. Elite Beat Agents, old cliches? Maybe O.o But anyway, yea it's sad. IMO the girlfriend who dies or the destroyed village is something really cliche. The dead father before christmas is something rare in video game.

Another sad scene is the sacrifice of the Pig in Illusion of gaia.

Well, the main themes of FF9 are loneliness and death so not much happiness to be found.

The ending of Shadow of the Colossus. Agro's scene is also sad, but the ending crushes it.
