I hate games that already have content ready/planned months before release that they expect you to pay extra for.

If this game comes out late august like Fable II, then it has around 3 months to release. 1 month of that will be printing the final disc, so they're not going to leave designing the LE to the last minute are they? That and people will want to be getting their pre orders in.

It's not the timing that is my issue, just what gives the LE its value.  I mean would you consider it a good deal if it was just the cards and coin for $20 extra?  I just think this is the worst trend to come from this generation.  Instead of getting the full game day one, you are nickel and dimed for extra content that should have been in there from the start.  I don't have a problem with all DLC.  Something like the GTA episodes are fine by me, but if it is planned at or near release then it should have been on the disc or at least a free update if their excuse is it would have delayed the release.

That's never been their excuse.  The extra content is a perk for LE purchasers.

You can buy a cheese pizza for $5 or a supreme for $10 - it just depends what you want and how much you're willing to pay for it, but you know all along what you're getting.

Good analysis. Also, alot of this extra content could have been cutting room floor material, but they said, hey we'll put in the extra hours to get this in the game, but only as a perk to get the money back on it.

I'd buy that just for the deck of cards.

Thence we came forth
To rebehold the stars...

I'm not convinced... I am starting to realise how much money I have wasted on CEs, where they look kind of nice, but aren't really worthwhile, because all I will really do is glance at it and then leave it on my shelf. I do have the CEs for MW2 {hardened + statue of Soap!}, AC I & 2 {with statues!}, ME 1 & 2 and Gears 2. I also have the not quite so special CEs for inFamous, Dragon Age Origins (no map in Europe!), Heavy Rain, Ratchet aCiT and Fable II, and those last few are where I feel I have wasted my money. They fit into my games storage unit, but they stick out a bit, whereas the other ones can be stored seperately. They also provide very little content for an extra price

The thing that does concern me is that Fable II SE. They scaled it back near to launch, and in the end, all we got was a normal game with a cardboard sleeve and a different box art, so hopefully they won't do that again

I still have to fiish fable 2 but this seems like one of the first CE i will get. seems like a good value

This is on my must-buy list.

I want those cards. I really hope they bring back a form of the Guild. I loved it.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

The thing about these limited, collectors, and special editions is that they leave it up to you to determine whether they're of any value to you.
And unlike Modern Warfare 2, games don't usually force their various limited editions on you.
Don't like it?
Don't buy it; it doesn't affect you in the slightest bit.

Do they mean a virtual coin or a paper coin? (the Guild Seal coin)

Plus what is that card on the left bottom? And what is the brown book thingy, i mean there is a book-like thingy in tthe top rihght already.

Plus I would prefer a Pug instead of a Boxer dog but you can't have everything rite?

Just started Fable II last night, i must say i'm really impressed. The game itself is a lot of fun. I'm officially hyped for Fable III.
