In the second to last paragraph it mentions things that "impede Super Mario Galaxy's 2's march to perfection." and then in the same paragraph it mentions "We still do not have true multiplayer...".. Is the review saying that SignalStar docked a point or two off because the game has no "true multiplayer"? |
No. I do not knock points off a game for missing features unless it overtly makes the game worse. Still I think it was worth mentioning.

Well then that's poor writing on your part. That's the impression I got upon reading the review. By bringing it up, you imply it's important. You wouldn't (shouldn't?) bring up things that aren't relevant in a review. You're doing that here. Then, you bring up a lack of "true multiplayer" in a paragraph that begins talking about things that get in the way of perfection. Assuming you're actually using paragraphs correctly and not changing subjects midparagraph, your review says something completely different from what you're saying in this thread.
If you don't mind me asking, how is a lack of "true multiplayer" worth mentioning if it isn't a feature the game needs to have and doesn't have?
I don't really take issue with the score, only with the lack of clarity within the review. I've been noticing it a while on the site and it's starting to frustrate me.
