I know, but I still just wanted to try to give people my perspective.

But seriously, you have to forgive us, Wii owners, we had it rough from many ps3 owners or supporters. And while i do say that it is good for Sony to have these weeks when they sell more than their competitors, people like kgb29 start posting things that make us feel like killing him.

But you're right, we should ease off. However posts like that of DJMeister make it tough....

PS3- will do strong in Japan, they have FF and DW, they will be fine there, maybe not like dominate or even finish 1st but will do fine-

The Wii is gonna need to start attacting more Japanese type hardcore exclusives or they may lose there edge in Japan- A wii exclsusive DW game would drive a spike in PS3's chest...

Let's face it, Japan has been the most random market for the past few years. We thought they were in love with anything DS, it turns out that something has changed recently and none of us know why. Japan fluctuates more then any other market. All three systems are selling ok in North America and are seeing software sales that match hardware sales. In Japan we don't see the same thing. Studies have shown us that their market is aging fast. Nintendo built the DS and Wii software to target it's home country and yet the PS3 made a rebound on a console config that makes little to no sense. Why is the 40 gig outselling the much better configured 20 gig system? Is it the Japanese buying these systems or are we seeing the same thing as last year with Chinese people picking them up to sell on e-bay or to rich Chinese people? What demographic is purchasing each system? Will the Japanese RPG still be in high demand when we start seeing them en mass for the new systems? I don't know...

 If that were the case, then why did DQIV not do as well as previous DQ games?

Hey technically I've rooted the PS3 on even though I'm disappointed with Sony, as proof of this I have posted elsewhere that Sony could be in second place by the end of this year and while it may not happen for various reasons I still have faith that they will pull this out. Cause deep down I don't want Sony to die in the console market and I am quite happy that Sony sells have went up and that they have managed to finally outell the competition in at least one region and that they have beaten one system in WW sells.

It would be nice for a change if people just gave credit to how well each console is doing and if they discussed what each company could do to improve. I know that ultimately ten thousand people on a forum don't dictate the policies of big corporations but why can't we ever get along even if it's in one thread every once in while.

I don't like any of these posts. Neither the
"ZOMG Wii outsold PS3 by 6:1" ones nor the
"ZOMG 360 '08 lineup puts Wii to shame" ones nor the
"ZOMG PS3 outsold Wii in Japan AGAIN" ones.

Whoever posts these does it for one purpose only: To piss off users of a different system. Some months ago, I decided not to participate in these battles any longer. I discuss games I'm interested in, that's it.

The sales jump is nice and all, but I'm not sure it's "Sony has won" yet. It also doesn't mean that Sony is back in the game. If anything, it shows how hard they are struggling. The 360 has only had one price cut of $50 and 2 models (one of which was for Halo). The Wii has had neither. But Sony has dropped their price $100-$200 and are still struggling. Sales are starting to creep back down, so Sony has to find another way for people to buy their console.

It is a vicious cycle. Nintendo and Microsoft have the ball in their court since they have had good sales overall with out having to do much to their consoles. Sony, on the other hand, had had to do lots of models and price cuts to be able to meet 6million world wide, about half of what 2nd place has done. This shows that interest has waned and that this short spurt in sales will be short lived.
