Final Fantasy VI and VIII

(not exactly like that but you still go to outerspace!)

i'd like to see Mass Effect do this, or just for the OP's sake, a game were you just explore fantasy planets (no explosions!)

i said fantasy because i don't find real planets to be fun to explore >_>

it's not that I don't like or want explosions, it's the fact that this tech demo goes far beyond anythng I've ever seen and it's so well done, I mean pause at 6:19 in the first vid, that's just absoulty stunning, I can't see how anybody can say that it isn't.

oh and given humanities place in the universe....... any planet we find even remotly like our own will be a "fantasy planet"

I am majoring in Physics and Astronomy, and plan on being among the pioneers of Intersteller space travel, so maybe that's why this is so mind blowing to me...

remember that planet isn't the earth so the air's surface is a lot thinner than Earth, since on earth you know we have air

i think the tech IS mindblowing, but i said it would be boring if its a video game. but they can go with this and have a goal , like travel to planet X to find ore or discover what lies beyond a section in galaxy..........okay now i want a game like this.

dont know if you guys know or not but infinity quest for earth(i belive thats the full name but could be wrong) is going to be free to play. not sure if that means you will have to pay for the box or the game download.

EDIT guys im sorry the game i was talking about wasnt infinity it was Black prophecy. sorry the 2 games look extremly alike. BP also has some very nice tech. just look at it.

Actually the conditions in which a planet can actually sustain life (as we know it) cannot be more than a couple of a percent different from Earth.

Thinner atmosphere, farther away form the sun, smaller or bigger... it all results in catastrophic storms and barren wastes.
