i'd like to see Mass Effect do this, or just for the OP's sake, a game were you just explore fantasy planets (no explosions!)

i said fantasy because i don't find real planets to be fun to explore >_>

it's not that I don't like or want explosions, it's the fact that this tech demo goes far beyond anythng I've ever seen and it's so well done, I mean pause at 6:19 in the first vid, that's just absoulty stunning, I can't see how anybody can say that it isn't.

oh and given humanities place in the universe....... any planet we find even remotly like our own will be a "fantasy planet"

I am majoring in Physics and Astronomy, and plan on being among the pioneers of Intersteller space travel, so maybe that's why this is so mind blowing to me...
