Actually I think MS is close to 1 Billion profit so far for this generation.  If they remain profitable for the remainder of the generation as they have for the last 2 years, they should be able to come out with some profit overall and start eating into that major dent of losses from the original Xbox.

yes it was. or it could be how you look at it. i got a report that they've spint more than $1b trying to fix the problem. but from 62% to 42% is a real improvement and shows dedication to the consumer.

my mom saifd they are making 15$ on each 120gb and 15.32 on each 250gb models

it cost microsoft over 1.8 billion total sofar since 2007, which is not that bad over all with Microsoft fixing the problem, it may have cost them more if they had not done what they did.

From what I hear, they are still taking a loss, although not as steep as before but still a loss, although these are just rumors from different unofficial websites, Hopefully the system will keep on selling the way It's been selling.

Isn't that the total losses for the 360?  Not just RRoD.

Wasn't there a news article here on VGC, where someone said Sony is making currently under a dollar profit per console ?
Can't remember exactly.
