Yes, they're made in China.

They have a job that pays, a place to sleep and an employer that's willing to provide them with education. Fair or not we can only reasonably judge people's situation in comparison to others within their own country and these guys have it better than plenty of others in China.

@Radha: interestingly China and the Dominican Republic are ranked almost exactly the same on the Human Development Index (92 and 90 in the world respectively)

Over 30 people at this planet have "committed suicide" in the past several weeks at this plant.

I didn't intentially gloss over that point and while I'm not for a moment suggesting that it's acceptable that this happens,  anywhere where there are people struggling to hold jobs there will be employers above them mistreating and taking advantage of their situation safe in the knowledge that their employees have no where else to go.  You don't have to go to China to see that.

Nonetheless a mistreated employee with a roof over their head will still consider themselves lucky in comparison to someone who has none of those things.

Another big difference with my country, people here have no respect for authority and a very low sense of commitment so seen someone suicide because he/she was not able to meet some company/factory goals is almost imposible.

the worst part is, anything we costumers try to do to improve things, like asking for a good treatment certifiqued for gadget mking companies or consoles would make consoles / gadgets much more expensive, but something like this was made for diamonds and diamonds have a cerfifiquet that states that the diamond was not involve in wars and stuff like that. So what can the game industry do to make things better for chinesse workers? is there anything we could do?
