Sure he did, if you know how to read between the lines. "Evaluating the possibility" = waiting to see what Microsoft offers them.
If Nintendo paid them, then maybe. But... how many times did they do that?

Just downscale the graphics, if they considered early enough the XB360 port, it's already designed to run on simple PPC CPU + Radeon GPU, without exotic coprocessors and without mandatory install.

I couldn't blame them, they get MS money, the game sells decently too on XB360, why not? But if MS is so eager, they should just exploit this to not be charged for multiple discs.
