Forums - Sony - GTA IV and GTA Episodes difference?

I recently got a PS3 and one of the games I got was GTA Episodes from Liberty City, and even being a GTA fan I did not like it! (I didn't like the gameplay)

So I wanted to know is there any difference between GTA IV and GTA Episodes in gameplay? I want to know to get or not to get GTA IV!

Around the Network

all GTA games have same controls wat r u smoking?? :O

Well I really enjoyed GTA San Andreas gameplay but not this one, it just doesn't "feel" the same!

I think he meant as in the whole realism

Well I haven't got episodes, but I heard they're meant to be better than GTAIV, with a lot more variety in the missions. If you ask me, IV was a disappointment and I didn't like it D:

Around the Network

BOGT has no filler missions like IV and more variety. It also brings back some of the over the top fun from the previous games. You can replay missions because you're scored on things like headshots, mission completion time, etc. You can go back and try to beat the previous score.

Yeah I didn't get to playing BOGT I was just playing Lost and Dammed

Missions are less repetitive and bike riding is improved in The Lost and Damned.
So yeah it's better.

The Episodes have a little bit better graphics, BoGT in particular looks the best out of the 3 games. TLAD is similar to GTA IV in gameplay, but BoGT goes over the top with parachuting and tons of explosions.

So I should not get GTA IV if I was not too impresed with the Episodes?
