DS shouldn't be its more than 5 years old, its about time it declines.
360 possibly.

That's just not enough for a leading console this late in the gen. Maybe next gen we'll see some serious support for the Nintendo console. Yeah right.. |
That's the problem, and the solution is only Nintendo themselves. They must prepare well next gen for third parties, it's ridiculous no one puts a game on Wii just because it is less powerful! It was the main reason why we saw a lot of titles back in the first two years, what happened, they're not able to make profits now? I seriously don't understand it...maybe really Wii 2 will be launched at end of 2011, this summer will be worse then last one and there won't a price cut in October (or, if there is, will be the last one before Wii 2). Wii lacks games, that's it...games that sell millions, like the ones third parties produce on HD consoles. Super Mario Galaxy can push a some consoles, Metroid can, Zelda will, but it's nothing compared to what third parties are doing this year on HD consoles...

Worldwide? For sure. In Europe? Maybe. |
I'm not so sure.... it bombed harder than almost any notable console ARPG this gen in Japan (only 16k sold according to Famitsu) and the critical response in the west has been far more tepid than Demon's Souls (and unlike that title, it's not perfectly timed to ride the slimomentum). I think there's probably enough goodwill towards Atlus/FROM and enough PS3 owning Zelda fans to push it a bit, but 200k is still not exactly a sure thing.

Based on the pre-orders chart, 3D Dot is at 30-35k and should do around 50k first week. It will easily crawl to 200k maybe in America alone.

In their entire history, you can count the number of Atlus USA console games that sold over 200k on one hand. I'm not saying that can't/won't happen for 3DGH, but I'm saying it's not "for sure".
Lets hope so because the game looks awesome and it retails for 39.99
Good job FF XII!
Wow @ Lost Planet 2. That surprises me.
Very underwhelming sales for Alan Wake.
Hopefully it'll open to 200k minimum in the US.
Obviously spins a good yarn, so potential to sell steadily for a long time.
Darth! You forgot the PS2! Tsk tsk!
