We'll have 240 stars to find.
There are 120 hidden green stars and when we got it we will unlock a new world or galaxy and there will be 120 new stars to find.

It is something about Mario 64 levels in SMG2 which most of us already knew. However, there is apparently speculation of all 64 levels being redone in galaxy 2 which would be beyond epic. Need more evidence to confirm though

will there actually maybe be 240 stars for real in this game? the first game technically had that, but it was just the same 120 stars with a different charecter.
are there going to be 240 UNIQUE stars in this game?

there are 120 "normal stars" and 120 "Secret Green Stars".
No one has officially mentioned what unlocks after you collect all of these, but 120 stars are needed to open the special world galaxy, or world 7 in old 2D terms.
I highly doubt nintendo took the time to remaster the entire mario 64 game and include it for free with galaxy. the game will sell buckets without that bonus, if they took the time to remaster Mario 64, surely they would have released it seperately or on VC.
is this real?
but ign said it was just another galaxy
and they discovered throwback galaxy before getting 120 starts, so fake

What are these supposed 'Secret Green Stars', then? Are they Luigi-specific (hence the 'green'), or what? Can you only collect them after getting the 120 regular ones, or right away? I want info!

I take it they are green stars that are harder to find than regular stars. I suppose they are somewhere in every level you play.
