I don't recall much arrogance coming from Apple. Sony on the other-hand, is probably more stupid than arrogant. Calling Nintendo gimmicky, just before Nintendo smokes them on the market, and Sony themselves are forced to copy Nintendo's "gimmicks".

Not really, the line:

 "We know there are a lot of challenges in this space, but we're very comfortable, especially with 3D across the entire Sony group. There's no company that can deliver that like we can."

is true. What other company owns and builds 1) the camera and recording technology to capture 3D films, 2) the movie studio's to film them, 3) the televisions to show them, 4) the console to play them, and 5) the game studios to develop games for that console. Lots of companies have some of those pieces, but only Sony has all of them. Hence why saying 'no company...can deliver [3D] like we can' is not arrogant, but fact.

Arrogance is confidence without ability. Sony has the ability, so its not arrogance.

Apple -or, more to the point, Steve Jobs- is indeed arrogant as all hell, but if they're more arrogant than Sony it's not by very much. At least Apple never claimed that people would buy Macs even if no software were made for them.

I've always felt Apple arrogant bastards, they have just been better at hiding it than their competition.
