Presidential Pardon may affect the visas and stuff as well so it should be within his power if it does.

All that would do is Pardon her for her crimes of staying here illegally.

Then starting tommorrow... she would be breaking the law again.

Though the liberal use of pardons for friends is why I don't really care.

Well, by "the next day" i was mostly just using a timeframe just because it's eaiser.

I think he would have to constantly be pardoning her as she technically would be breaking the law immediatly after the pardon.  Like say if I got pardoned today for stealing cable (I don't, but it's an example).   I would still be stealing cable after it, so that would just build up again.

the law is the law and no one more then the president should understand that.

She's the President's Aunt, LOL at you guys.

Laws aren't there to be broken. Obama needs to get to grips with this fact.

Sorry I presumed the aunt had the same surname as Barrack.

Let me rephrase:

Zeituni Onyango needs to get to grips with the facts laws shouldn't be broken like when she overstayed her visa

and she got a lawyer and was allowed to stay. I am not even sure Obama is even close these side of the family. It's only a big story because she's related to the president.

Most people who are granted Visas to stay in the US have some money to began with just to stay. The system is a big bureaucracy to began with and is not fare to the people. My Slovakian friend has been trying to stay here legally for years, but she says it is easier to stay here illegally. This causes a lot of people to break the law when they otherwise wouldn't.

It certainly isn't a right of anyone, but a citizen to remain in my country except for its citizens. But the system is so complicated and biased towards the rich to began with so I see no problem in President Obama's aunt being grated asylum. When the system is broke to began with this is hardly significant.
