Good seeing the 360 not so far below 2009 numbers, I'm confident 2010 will be the 360's peak year still.

Sorry to hear you won't be doing the in depth analysis anymore. Good to see 360 tracking above it's 2008 numbers (last price cut year). I think 2010 will be 360's peak year with that information at hand.

Still not sure about that 15 million estimate from Sony, it has to be a scheduled price cut, but I'm not sure how they are going to pull that off.

Congratulations to the Poms on the win. Always good to see the Aussies NOT win something in cricket.

Not to detract from the win, but 20/20 almost seems like being the world champ at mini-golf. OK not quite that low that's more comparable to indoor cricket or beach cricket world champs, but still it's barely recognisable as cricket IMO. But it's here and it makes cricket a lot of money, so it's gotta be good for the sport right?

However, 20/20 is such a lottery of a game even when there is a talent gap between teams. I think basing a world championship final on a single game is a bad call. Make it a best of 3 and then you'd have a better chance of the most talented team winning.

Unfortunately our girls couldn't stop the Aussie girls from winning the womens 20/20 world cup. But they did better that the our lads.

Oh, hang on a minute this is a console sales thread. I better say something OT. Urrrrrrrrrr PS3 nearly at 31% market share for the year, that's doing rather well, and it's taking market share from both 360 and Wii.

15 million not possible without a price cut. PS3 won't be 2 million ahead of 2009 come the end of August and without a price cut it's not going to have as good a Sept-March as 2009/10. Especially given a 360 price cut is all but certain and Wii price cut is a possibility.

@ kowenicki: too bad you couldn't keep up with the contributor role, I liked reading your stuff.

i think sony can reach it since kownicki and I think sony will be up 20% yoy this year.... last year they sold about 12.7 mil so

120% x 12.7 = 15.24 million!!! just wait and see. people didn't believe sony could reach 13 mil and see what happened.
