Forums - PC - Fable III Coming to PC

I would've been super happy if it was Fable 2. I'd like to play that again in a PC. I guess this is good for me since I can't touch my 360 for half a year.

I'd say great news. But Fable 1 was very boring. As for Fable 2, even when it was exclusive, was also very weak.

Nothing worthwhile has come out of Mlyneux for over a decade, I wish he'd just stfu, crawl in a hole and disappear already.

I'd say Dungeon Keeper was his lat good game, but damn was i good. He just copletely went downhill starting with Black and White 1.

I wish you would too.

Except that in my short stay here and from the few posts he has made his are probably 10 times the quality of yours on average. This exchange is another perfectly good example of that. Molyneux hasn't done anything great since Dungeon Keeper, and I think that was 97 or 98, which is over a decaded now. Your repsonse to it however was nothing short of IQ-reducing idiocy. Unless you are 5 years old, then I am sorry for the offense since then you are just acting your natural age.

what is the benefit of releasing it on PC if they release it with such worthless software like GfwL? That software is buggy and bloated. Do not want, ever. And it will fail on PC because there isnt very many games that has ever been successful when attached to GfwL.

I like Dawn of War 2 perfectly fine. Though the GFWL aspect is absolue and utter trash and I really wish they had done somehing else for net play. Hell, even gamespy would have been better.

It's sad that it has come to the point where I think gamespy as a "pretty good" multiplayer provider. They have sucked hard ever since Bnet and Westwood Online came around. I also liked Heat.net a ton more until those bastards bought it out.

gamespy really cant even be called a service. I have maybe 4 games using their service downloaded through Steam. Just dont use their pos chat software and register a login you can remember your good.

Well it's still a service, back in the day they had he whole client and stuff. used to play HOMM3 and Army Man 2 and Rage of Mages 2 through it. Requiem as well and some other random games. Then they started being integrated into games. AoE used it, so did Rise of Nations, I think the new UT also uses it. Then again UT3 sucked so hard that's just a molecule of water in the proverbial water tower of problems. Titan Quest also ueses it I believe. Not that it was ever bad, it was just always way simple compared to Bnet or Westwood Online. All you ever got was a cha and a game browser and filters and that's it.

That is why it's so pathetic to see myself consider it a "pretty good" service now, it was at the bottom of the barrel just a few short years ago.

Edit: Some spelling and I know I missed a ton of others. FML, fuck my laptop, the keyboard in particular.

Boarderlands=fucking nightmare

You know, I'm perplexed why Microsoft would go back to porting their first-party Xbox 360 games to the PC. But perhaps Steam's recent Mac support has something to do with it. All steam games are now compatible on Macs right? That presents a threat to Microsoft. Because let's face it, if you are really into PC gaming, you needed Windows. But now that Steam has Mac support, that may very well change.

I've been saying this for a year now.

A huge draw for Windows in the home has been gaming, if you remove that then more people will choose something other than Windows.

It is absolutely retarded, even worse than a $600 console launch without any games, for them to sacrifice any OS/Office share to because of their little hobby of the console. Back when I did the math, for every 1% of OS/Office loss, the EDD will need to increase its profits by 40%. Somehow I doubt making games exclusive will ever be able to make up the loss caused due to losses in the OS/Office department.
