In regards to the above, I have some questions and also comments: * Halo seems to get fragged due to its popularity and resentment by the PC and the Playstation community that the game helped make Microsoft a competitor in the home console business. Final Fantasy and a number of others fit into the same way. I think most of them are like that. * Grand Theft Auto IV attempted to be more serious and the fans of the series hates that the single-player went in that direction, complete with the micromanagement life stuff by Nico. The multiplayer probably was where Rockstar expected the mayhem to begin. * I am not sure what it is with Far Cry 2. It looks awesome on paper, and I know of how the story unfolds, and I REALLY wanted to try to like it, but man, it left me SERIOUSLY flat. I don't want to hate it, but it didn't do much to get me interested. |
People just hate change, as for Far Cry 2:
The story was quite good (Although, poorly told and presented) as it expresses the amoral intent of war and killing, how it spreads and affects it's enviroment. A theme inspired straight out of the book Heart of Darkness, for te 3 out of a thousand who have read that book.
