Killzone 2, and Halo 3... The only FPS I've liked this gen is bioshock... so if I'm not suppoed to list FPS, because I generally don't like shooters, then I'll remove them if asked :D.

Playing that was a torture... I think I played 6 hours and sold it =P
Folklore was also a little dissapointing

Okay: MGS4 Fable 2 Zelda:TP Metroid Prime GTA4 These are the only games this gen that are highly regarded that I've either started several times or just trudged my way through for the story's sake. On the flip side, I really liked Star Wars:The Force Unleashed, which was pretty poorly reviewed and I found really quite fun. |
No Killzone 2?
And I thought I knew you...
On Topic:
Oh god this is going to be a long list. I think it might be easier to list the games that I did like that were critically acclaimed. Here goes.
Halo 3, Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Little King Story, Rock Band: Beattles, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, The World Ends With You, Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, God of War Collection, Fallout 3, Bioshock, Oblivion, Dragon Age: Origins, Batman Arkham Asylum, Okami, MAss Effect, Mass Effect 2, Grand Theft Auto IV.
The list generally sticks to only the top 25 or so games based on Metarankings. Not all 90+ as I intended, but none too far off.
Fallout 3 and Mass Effect. After playing both of these I found out I really don't care for WRPG's. MGS4 can be included as well. First 2 acts were great. From act 3 on I played through just to finish the game. It's the most disappointing game I've played.
