Who will you vote for in the 2012 US Presidential Primary?

Sarah Palin 11 40.74%

Mitt Romney 0 0%

Mike Huckabee 1 3.70%

Ron Paul 10 37.04%

Tim Pawlenty 0 0%

Other 5 18.52%

Total:27

I was reading up on this tonight, and I think I've figured out who I will support once they run.

Obviously, the field is far from set. There are a few I missed like Paul Ryan, Haley Barbour, and other candidates.

Personally, I found the guy I am going to vote for (if able):

Gary Johnson. Former governor of New Mexico (2 terms between '95 and '03)

Although I would also vote for Ron Paul, I wonder if he will be able to run a viable campaign at his age. Gary Johnson is a perfect mix of Ron Paul libertarianism, and leadership, as he ran a successful construction company, and a state for nearly a decade. He stands for most libertarian concepts including legalization of pot, pro-choice (but end Roe v. Wade, make it a state issue), pro gay-unions, anti death penalty, school vouchers/school choice, ending American wars overseas, and so on.

He seems like a really good candidate for the election. He has little name recognition, but it seems to be growing at a rapid rate. From my understanding, a lot of unconventional people are starting to support his run....Even pro-life group are endorsing him, despite being pro-choice (sans the repealing of Roe v. Wade, which would make it a state issue).

What about you, VGC-er?

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Ron Paul seems pretty good however, he is to old. Its Mccain all over again...

Meh voted Ron Paul but not sure yet. Of course I would try to not vote for rich white men in suits but I guess I wouldn't be voting at all if that was the case. NVM, I guess Ron Paul is a decent choice then haha.

I'm registered as a Democrat, so I'm not able to vote in the Republican primary.. but given the choice, Sarah Palin, as she would be sure to lose a general election.

Sarah Palin, she amuses me.

I'm not American, but I went for Ron Paul. He's always seemed like a good politician. He would probably be better if he formed his own party.

Ron Paul or Gary Johnson would suit me fine. The only thing that worries me about Paul is his age.

Anyone but Palin... >.>

If I'd have to say it would be Ron Paul ^^

I believe badgenome nominated dead fish in a previous thread... I find your lack of deadfish disturbing. *votes other*

Ron Paul has balls.

Sarah Palin is nothing more than a prevailing caricature that just portrays moronic American culture.

I can sincerely say, without having met this person, she is a malignant tumor for the Republican party.

The irony is: she gets endorsed.

Fuck Sarah Palin, fuck the ignorant asses in the Tea Party, and fuck it all to hell if we ever elect this woman to office.

fuck....
