The old regions take place in parts of japan. It also says it is an industrialized region with railroads and factories so im thinking it is to be in the US or europe. But with the huge buildings im thinking it is New York....well whats your guess?

Tall buildings can be had in many places, though New York is often taken as a default metropolis in a lot of media.

We won't know until we see a region map, then the geography buffs can get to work, though the easiest one to identify so far was Sinnoh as Hokkaido.

perhaps this takes place in tokyo? I assume they have a railroad and some sort of industrial zone as well as the skyscrapers.
