| Arm said: This thread is based upon the theory that 360 sales will continue to decline, but what did it take for the PS3 sales to pick up. Price cut with system redesign. "IF" the 360 does in fact get a system redesign as we've been hearing about due to the new mother board with price cut then I can't see how the PS3 will over take it in 2011. a 360 with no RROD might actually get those that have been holding off to finally buy one also. Natal might just be a super hit or a super bomb, but with the right marketing push with a huge advertisement budget it might sell. Don't get me wrong, Sony will try also with move but they are in a spot were they will be pointed at as a Wii-too and a lot might just not even bother. So that might bomb also. Lot of speculation but this is all personal thoughts, hey we're turning into Patcher. this E3 will be interesting. |
If that "theory" does not hold up than this whole sales prediction thread is busted.
1. 360 is predicted by "sales analaysts" to sell 10% less than 2009 despite 360 having price cut + Natal + Halo : Reach + strong second half of the year games lineup. 360 will not sell as much as 2009? Only 9 to 10 million 360s sold in 2010.
2. PS3 is predicted by "sales analysts" to sell 10% more than 2009 sales despite slowing momentum from PS3 Slim $299 + uncertainty whether Gran Turismo 5 will release in 2010 + + Move will be more successful than Natal + a limited second half games lineup. PS3 will sell more in 2009 than 2010? 13 to 15 million PS3s sold in 2010.
