Forums - Sony - The best Move game yet? Ape Escape

Posting over on the official Twitter page for upcoming Move supported simian-centric Ape Escape for the PS3, the pleased as punch monkey-lovers are claiming their future game of banana bending and primate capturing is the best Move game yet.

The tweet says:

Sony “Playstation Move Staff” have said that “Ape Escape PS3″ may be the best game so far for PS3 Move. Excited?

Why, yes, we are. Ape Escape for the PS1 was one of the system’s funnest games; the ability to chase cheeky apes with an assortment of gadgets and a net a wonderful display of humour and infectious gameplay.

The new Ape Escape was recently confirmed (on Twitter, where else?) for a release sometime in Q2 -Q4 2010. Around the same time as Move, basically.

In my opinion this game will be a phenomenon! <--- in-joke

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Ape Escape is just as worthy as Wii Sports, and thats the Biggest game Wii ever had or will have imo.

Woo, seriously I've been waiting too long for a new Ape Escape game, and this is THE game that has persuaded me to buy Move, along with Socom 4 ofcourse, but this is more important...

You may be right.   Ape Escape seems like it would lend itself very well to Move, showcase it well and be a lot of fun.

I don't see it comparing to Wii Sports though as Wii Sports made gaming accessible to people who didn't even know the first thing about games.   I don't see Ape Escape having that type of appeal.   It'll appeal more to 'gamers' but gamers will want more than just that.   Especially if they already own a Wii as so many already do.

LittleBigPlanet 2 is confirmed to have Move controls. We don't know how they will be implemented yet, but we know the community will be given the chance to come up with their own control schemes, and the Move could be extremely useful in content creation as well. I think Move and LBP2 will go together extremely well.

I wouldn't advise it in your case, because, y'know, you need a PS3 to start with.

Not to mention Sony decided to announce LittleBigPlanet2, no small game, before E3. I'll be damned if they don't have some big things coming, very possibly aiding Move.  E3 will clear a lot of things up.
