I still have the original iPhone. Though I'd like to have the faster processor iphones, I'm not eager to pay more for 3G (Which I find overrated) and Apple hasn't really given me much incentive to buy a new one just yet. Not with the added monthly cost from AT&T. And now that it's been confirmed from Apple that they won't support the original iPhone with OS updates anymore, is it time to jailbreak it?
Far as I know, it only will run on AT&T and T-Mobile (If jailbroken) and looking at the T-Mobile site, they seem to have better deals on plans than what I have now. I can get unlimited text and data for roughly the same price I'm paying now. And though I have more than a few saved up rollover minutes with AT&T, it'd be a moot point if I can get unlimited for the same price.
So, should I do it? If so, anyone have any suggestions on which software to use? I know some cellphone places used to have signs up offering to jailbreak it for ya. I may go that route. Anyone else using a jailbroken phone? What unlocked features can I expect? Any horror stories? Do I have to sign up for a contract with T-Mobile? I doubt it, since I already have a phone ready.
Thanks in advance!
