Forums - Sales - Firs quarter USA sales

Could we please stop this stupid nonsense about replaced Xbox 360s eating into buying userbase?

This is not true. MS is not allowed to claim the replaced Xbox 360s are "sold". They are not allowed to say we sold something that does not generate profit. So please just stop this trolling in every single thread.

The reason is that PS3 saw quite big releases like God of War, Heavy Rain, MAG and a Final Fantasy game that is heavily connected with the PS brand.

There was only 1 big Xbox 360 release with Mass Effect 2. Next quarter will be much bigger for the Xbox 360 with Alan Wake, Splinter Cell Conviction, Crackdown 2 and the multiplat game Red Dead Redemption.

And this is probably Q1 RETAIL software sales. If they include digital distribution, Xbox 360 will see some more Dollars as well. More than the PSN because of a bigger userbase, better XBLA - games and complete games via games on demand.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Around the Network

true, but this situation would have been sony's dream one year ago. Of course, the next quarters will fall in the MS bag, but things are not what the used to be...

good for the big three. sony second place. thats good news for them.

im not trying to get into this debate but i beleave he is talking about the people that go out and buy a new console without replacing the one that broke down. you do make a good point at the end.
