I almost had a life wish of becoming an architect due to The Sims 1 & 2

But who am I kidding its a life simulation game too..there's some fun to be had there if you let yourself have that fun

I'm enjoying ti though & my sims Rinoa & squall have 4 children & rinoa is a international spy (top of career) & squall is the CEO of a mega corproation (top of business career)

well its a time waster, i like messing around, i once had a sim with no house just a toilet and he had a dog and met this other sim and they fell inlove.

plus i love the way they talk.

Yeah, I know the feeling. Happened to me many times. The affection for the older game is so strong that you just can't get into the new one.

its a fun quirky sandbox game a life simulator, where you build your sim and do activities, whats great about it , is its not online.

Wow, I totally didn't know that our dogs communicate through Skype! That nasty pug is keeping secrets from me.

Forget getting to the Spore civilization mode. I never played the game but within this very thread the word boring was already used often enough to describe this game to convince me it must be true.

Play the one and only civilization mode any gamer needs and the best available game for Mac (and PC) instead: Civilization IV.

And yes, The Sims is a great series. I was addicted to the first one for a few months and had a great time.

If someone just made a great SimCity again, still Wright's best creation imo...

Was it a good game?  I hear people talk about it all the time, is it same length as Oblivion, shorter, longer?  Loved Oblivion, but that was the first game in the series I ever played.  Should I pick this up?  As well, I am a bit of a graphics whore, but I can get over that if the story is good...

On topic: I liked Spore..  Played 2 different races to the space exploration stage... quit playing it shortly after that though
