Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft and LG partnership gives you 3D gaming on Xbox360

I think its funny how many are talking about Samsung when this is about LG. Like you know Sony>LG so you have to team LG up with Samsung to make Samsung+LG>Sony lol.

As for overprice Sony TVs, I really dont see much of a price difference between Sony and Samsung if you compare size and specs. It all comes down to preference in the end between the two.

OT: Good for MS and LG partnership, but wouldve been bigger if it was with Samsung lol.

While Sony is pushing for 3D-with-glasses, Nintendo is going glasses-less 3D on handheld.
Microsoft is really at advantage here to pick up the glasses-less home theater/console.
Why didn't they go that way? Are they leaving it wide open for Nintendo to dominate that angle?

Yeah if Nintendo decides to release their own tv tech and line and introduce glasses-less home 3D. Not gonna happen. Nintendo won't be doing 3D until they release the new console and it will be the same tech and MS and Sony.

my glasses are the same as yours and wear 3d glasses very confortably

Awesome, though let's see what comes of it. Anything to promote 3D is awesome

Samsung used to make Sony LCD pannels until 2008... Sharp has been making them since. So when one buys a Sony TV today, they get a Sharp screen... Say what you will about LG and Sony but we should both agree that LG and Samsung is better than Sharp.

In any case, its good to see 3D coming form 360 as well. Now all we need is a general driver that downsamples the games resolution and projects the 360 game in checkerboard pattern...as well as works for 100s of games. Its not going to work if individual games need to make their own drivers...like for the PS3.

well, looks like its good timing for all of them.

Oh and lulz @ MS partnering with a Korean company instead of japanese.

You know why?

Because Samsung and LG HD TVs and 3d TVs >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Sony Bravia TVs

Pretty much when it comes to electronics, Samsung beats Sony any day whether it be laptops, TVs, Phones, etc.

Yeah you keep telling yourself that.

Well he's right according to reviews in the UK. Sony hasnt had a TV or Sepaerates system in the top 5 awrds in What HIFI or What TV in UK for about 3 years now.

If you want top of the range according to Reviews in UK, It's Panasonic, Samsung, Pioneer and LG TV's that use Samsung components.

actually he is right sony hasn't been the leader of T.V's, phones, or any other electronic since the 21st century started

That's why they went into the video game market.  At least they where one of the co developers of Bu-ray but the first Blu-ray player available in the US market was made by Samsung.  They where also the leaders when it comes to OLED TV's but have been surpassed in that field by Samsung also.

Still too expensive I guess and they still have to work on the life span of the panels.  PLus LED screens showed up which further delayed major development on OLED screens.
