Nah, someone is bound to point out that the second bold was refering to the Vaio PCs being cheaper to manufacturer... and the better then expected boost to the Playstation line is likely software sales.

and additionally that it may not even meant that division is making a profit.  Just that it's eating up less of a loss then expected.

It's all rather kinda pointless for an argument what with the financials coming out any day... still I imagine it will get a decent amount of attention once people point out that kinda stuff.

I mean, how often to posts that are only positive get any attention at all?  Pretty much never.  There is a whole "Hey that's great post" by a few random people... and then that's it... because there is no point or debate.

Great for Sony, with the GFC thawing (assuming Euro bailout works as intended) results should only improve from here.

Its likely due to better than expected software sales for PS3 since the cheaper to manufacture PS3 with a 40nm RSX didn't start shipments at least the 2nd half of march (im basing this estimate off the consoles hitting retails stores late april/early may)

But still -- seeing SONY doing better financially is good for gamers.

wot they projects for the whole year at the last yr financial forecast? if i remember correctly somewhere around 750m+ loss.?

So far so good, they have done an excellent job in rebounding back like that, of course thanks to the Slim and their powerful lineup.

They've kept things pretty close to the chest so far (except for Socom 4, lbp2 and Move), can't wait to see what they have for E3 *crosses fingers*Agent or GTA, Agent or GTA, Agent or GTA, plz, plz. hehe.
