i'm going to wait till after the holidays to pick this up, spending too much money as is. and i heard that the original contra and superC was unlockable.

My brothers picked it up, glad to see that they actually managed to make a Contra better than the original games, I haven't had much of a chance to play it but everything seemed so right in it, plus remixing the original music when playing on hard was just too awesome. plus they were willing to make the difficulty brutal, were it should be in games like this.
Here's to hoping Metal Slug 7 is as well done. (and included 1 and X as bonus games.)

It's great to see a good 2-D scroller being done. Hopefully this sells enough so that we others like it.

I can make it to the level 2 boss on Normal now, every day I move ahead a little more as I memorize the maps. Just like the good old days where I could beat contra with 1 life, I slowly chug along.



Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

@CDiablo: Did you try Easy first or something? It'll help you memorize level 1 - 7 (no guarantee on it allowing you to move that far on normal)

I am too hardcore to play on easy, Id rather take my licks. I havent had my ass kicked by a game in a long time so I have it coming to me. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Once I beat it on Easy mode I unlocked Challenge mode. You start with 5 available challenges, and each time you beat one you unlock another, so there is always 5 to choose from. After beating 4 challenges, I unlocked the original NES Contra. After beating 8, I unlocked original NES Super C. After beating 12, I unlocked Probotector as a character.

This game is so badass. The challenges are crazy and fun as hell too. Some of them give you weird prototype weapons, some have time limits, some make you hunt down those dogs from Contra 3, some DON'T LET YOU USE WEAPONS. And in any of the challenges, one death is instant failure.

This game is perfect.

To play on normal is now very easy. The last challenges rules...

I beat the game in easy with only 1 try. On hard its hard, the black soldiers at the end boss of level 2 killing me...

Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...
