Enjoy hating all the games you once loved just because you feel you have to hate something to like something more.  You even admit you'll evnetually dislike God of War 3.  Guess what.  Games from the past aren't bad just because they're old.  And games can be good just because they don't have the pinnacle of 'technology' and 'graphics'.  You think people like Mario 3 or Final Fantasy VII or Pokemon because they have amazing graphics or are on the most recent hardware?  Come on, they like them because they're good games.  And on the same token, people like Muramasa, because it was FUN.  Either you accept it, or continue you're crusade to prove that Muramasa is inferior simply because its on 'inferior hardware'.  Which I can guarantee, is a losing battle, as all the games I just mentioned were also on the 'inferior system' when they released.

And you seem to be overlooking the countless times people have been saying they thought God of War 3 was easy or boring.  Just because YOU thought it was the pinnacle of gaming doesn't mean EVERYONE ELSE thought it was.  I don't know how many times I need to express this to you.  Just because you think something is 'hardcore' doesn't make it so.  And the sad thing is, you're trying to force that opinion so much, you're blind to the multiple people in this thread who already expressed they didn't agree.

You clearly aren't thinking.

Take a game like Golden Eye. In what way is it better than Red Faction II? In what way is RF II better than Resistance 2. I don't hate old games, just my expectations have gone up with every generation, as they should do, otherwise what the hell is the point in dishing out for a new console if it's offering exactly the same as it's predecesor? Muramasa is inferior because it's not a challenge, or not nearly as much a challenge as other, more modern offerings.

I never said God of War 3 is the pinnacle of gaming, I just said it offers a more "hardcore" experience to those who may find Muramsa a brreeze and therefore, not entertaining defeating the point of the game - to keep you entertained.

All the people in the thread haven't had a valid reason as to why they dislike God of War in comparison to Muramasa. I found the guy who said he found the cell shaded game with 20 ft Samurai more mature than God of War very ironic.

Veiled insults, baiting comments and selective listening.  And I'm not thinking?  More like you're purposefully not listening.  Let me put it in terms you can understand.  You have your own opinions, but they aren't shared by everyone else.  And no matter how much you deflect the main point and just force your opinion, it still doesn't change other peoples views or make you right.

And just to clarify, if the primariy reason for liking a game isn't because its fun, then ultimately what else is there?  I think you need to sort out why you play games, and stop trying to cretique other peoples reasons for liking one game over another.  Its pretty sad when someone starts judging someone for not being 'hardcore' enough for finding more entertainment in one game over another.

Six upcoming games you should look into:

there is at least 25 really good games that would make the system a great purchase

@shonen you do know twilight princess was multiplat, right????

I have Muramasa and GOW3, and I like GOW3 better. that does not take away my enjoyment of Muramasa though, someone said it was harder than GOW3, insteresting, for one the bosses in Muramasa were piss easy, with the exception of maybe two. IMO the HD are not missing anything with that game, Red Steel 2 & Tatsunoko??? yeah they might be missing out on those

to the guy that originally posted tell your friend not to bother I dont think Wii is his cup o tea, with him hating Mario and all, UNLESS he just wants another console to supplement his PS3 then by all means jump on that, at the very least it wont RROD on him in 3 months

no. wait till the end of the yr.

@Ghost of Rubang I could not help but noticed that you left out some Key genres that Wii is not in the lead for, FPSs, racing and fighting. As a Wii and PS3 owner I enjoyed Muramasa but it was not the end all be all game. too much backtracking for one. AND if you acutally read the post the guy's friend is not into the "great" genres that Nintendo leads in. Personally my fav genre is fighting games so being a Wii only owner is simply not an option, hell PSP has more fighters than Wii. Your statement that Wii has something for everyone is not true, some people despise party games

Best-selling racing game of all time is Mario Kart Wii.  Best-selling fighter of all time is Super Smash Bros. Brawl.  But the Wii lacks variety in those genres, so if you don't like those two games, you should probably look for those genres on other consoles.  I left out the other genres because I mentioned many of the other genres Wii doesn't lead in an earlier post:

The Wii has the most variety. If he wants to try 1 or 2 games from 10 or 20 different genres, tell him to get a Wii. If he's all about third-person hack-and-slash or fighters, he should pick a different console, if he's all about FPS and RTS and online gaming and modding, he should go with PC, and if he's all about RPGs, he should pick a DS.

Wii dominates 2-D platformers, 3-D platformers, sports games, and party games, so it's the best system if you ever want to play games with girls. It's also great for drinking games. But the Wii library's strongest points are probably its variety, its several cheap niche games, and its ridiculous collection of classics on the Virtual Console.

Oh and if he's really so ultra hardcore that he thinks Mario's gay, he should get a Wii for the most badass super-manly ultra-violent murder simulators in the world. Wii has Manhunt 2, MadWorld, No More Heroes, and No More Heroes 2. Those games are so disgusting I have to play other Wii games like Muscle March and Captain Rainbow to calm down afterwards.

srry. miss read the question. yes. get one will its hot.

Seriously?

This is a joke thread right?

I didn't read to many of the replies, but it has to be a joke.

Every console has plenty of games to make it a worthy purchase at this point. Anyone who argues otherwise simply is being childish.

Mario Kart Wii comes with The Wheel of Pure Evil. Such a game can't be the leading game of its genre, even if it tricked millions of gamers sheep into buying it.

@ghostofRubangB sales dont equal quality, look at McDonalds. MarioKart is cool but thats a Kart racer where a the sim racers??? As fun as Smash Bros. is thats more party game than fighting, where are the 3d fighters??? (that castlevania was terrible) you keep saying that Wii has more games per genre than another system, that is a false statement. PS3 has more FPS, racing, and fighters. Please dont pull up VC those are old games, and a good amount are double dipped. I would then have to talk about PSN/PS1 classics and XBL. I dont want to do that cause it will take forever. oh I forgot about RPGs, 360 has more than Wii, and a bunch of WRPGs also.
