And as far as Europe goes it may have 2 left. I think Europe could eventually surpass American ps2 sales but they will be close.

I predict lifetime sales near 150million for the ps2.

I don't mean this in an overly stereotypical way, but consider the "single mother" (or any other group of adults who are buying presents for children and are on a budget) a $100 console with a huge library of $10 to $20 games is a much more attractive present than a $200+ game system that only has $40+ games available for it ...

This is (one of) the reasons the DS will potentially outsell all other systems combined this holiday season

Happy, that argument could have been used during the merging of any generations of gaming. None have been as relavent as PS2.

Amazing stuff. This console might be done after this holiday; I am hoping it outsells PS3 this holiday season. What a swansong that would be...
