Forums - Gaming - NMH on HD consoles underperforms compared to the Wii version

I'm saying it is fair to combine the sales of nmh on both hd consoles since there's a lot less hardware out than the wii. This shows it is selling better than on the wii!

That's pretty much what I thought you were getting at.

There were 4 million Wii consoles in Japan when No More Heroes was released.

LoL.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

One data point is too small to draw that conclusion, especially since the data point is Japan (where the game performed so poorly that the sequel is not released there) and where the difference is within the margin of error. Plus, when you add the HD sales together...

When you add the HD sales together you are comparing the sales of 2 platforms against the sales of one platform. That's wrong.

Also, the sales data shall get even more obvious next week.

If this game releases in America it will most likely have the same sales pattern we see in Japan but in higher numbers.

Well there are over 10 million wii's and only 6million ps3s+xbox's combined in japan. So combining the sales is fair, which shows that NMH does infact sell better on the hd consoles over the wii!!!

Fact is: back in NMH Wii release those were not 10 million.

Again, adding the sales of 2 platforms is wrong. NMH did worse on PS3 and 360, that's the truth.

To be fair the 360 version due to the loyal niche japanese fanbase the 360 has there did it decent, in comparison very much better than Wii and PS3 version.

I'm not with the idea of this thread but the wii didn't have 10 million when NMH came out...

So a 2 year old port, released outside the holiday season, that is splitting sales between two platforms is doing marginally worse than the original release according to VGChartz data.

Congrats?

Let's say, theoretically, the PS3 got the uncensored version identical to the 360 version.  The total sales stay exactly the same, but the 360 version sells 5,000 less and the PS3 5,000 more.  Would this then be a success in your eyes?

NMH Wii was also released outside the Holiday season. "Splitting sales"?  I don't know where do you live, but in my world a PS3 is a different machine than 360. It's usual and correct not to add the numbers of two different systems, because neither Microsoft or Sony are the same company.

And yes, congrats to the Wii :)

No everything would remain the same having Wii in the front with the most sold flop, PS3 in second place with the middle flop, and 360 in last place with the worst flop.
