Sorry to hear the PC version didn't work out for you. I know I've heard of a lot of other people having problems getting it to run, don't remember what their solution was. :-/

I did not get a game because of a VG Charts member is specific, but VGC played a large part in me being more aware of Heavy Rain and 3D-Dot Game Heroes.
I would have forgotten about Heavy Rain if it were not for VG charts and I would never have been aware of 3D-Dot Game Heroes without VGC.

Good catch, reverse those.   Bought FE:RD on advice from here, then after loving that I got the GC FE:PoR.

I can't say I remember anyone specifically getting me to buy a game (I know a few people who have tried though). However, I did buy a few games based on the overall hype

- Zack & Wiki / Really Regret (except for the fact that I bought for $6 and sold for $22)
- Uncharted / Like (not as much as the hype, but it is a good game)
- Elite Beat Agents / Love (got it for $5 with a starter kit)
- LittleBigPlanet / Like (ok platformer, cool level creator but not for me)
- Okami / mostly MontanaHatchet / Slightly Regret (I beat most of it, but it gets game breaking with that stupid wall and too much useless story)

That about sums it up and there is only 1 person I can blame

How can you regret playing a game for what is essentially a $16 profit?! was it really that bad

Akvod - Bad Company 2 - love it

Strategyking/ManusJustus - Mount & Blade: Warband - love it
(Strategyking inspired me to get Mount & Blade so I pirated it, ManusJustus influenced me to get the sequel M&B Warband, but that one I had to purchase for the multiplayer)

Then there's a bunch of other games that I've pirated after getting tips from VGC members.

Well, I had the oportunity to buy like 10 copies at that price while being clearanced at ToysRus, so I'm still kicking myself over that
