@steven: No he didn't. But if i recall, when Soriku joined the site, he was planning to get the PS3 "right after pricut". But he didn't say the price it was supposed to be cut.

I imagine it is because his plan was a bad one from the start. The ridiculous amount of GT money you need to earn to get the reward insures that most will give up long before they come close to claiming anything.
