The crazy part? The demo was shown on an Xbox 360 and id was happy to point out that the current PS3 version was running even more smoothly. Thinking about how the PC iteration will look on a top of the line machine makes my head spin.

It's a great idea to snag the one sentence that could incite people here, nice work OP.

OT: Looks cool, but god am I sick of post-apocalyptic settings.

Meanwhile, in Germany, Cevat Yerli is choking on his dinner while seeing those screenshots.
id are amazing at their best, let's hope the gameplay suits the looks, that would be a hard kick in the collective nuts of most developers of shooters today.

It would be very nice to see id land a hit again - the engine and tech sure look worthy and I hope other developers consider them.

As for the comment, the thing's slipped to 2011 so whichever console it may be smoother on now there is literally a huge amount of time for id to polish both to perfection - so it should be yah all round and no grumbling (as if...).

I like the idea of a full on Mad Max, which I felt Boderlands messed up a bit (fun as it was) and Fallout 3 was a tad solemn overall, so even though there are lots of wastelands around i'm hoping there's enough of a fresh vibe here to make the title stand out.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Maybe id would also like to tell us why they didn't bother showing the PS3 version then? *rolls eyes*

On the flipside though, id said they were initially struggling with the system. So it's at least good to hear that they were able to improve there.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they're getting some balance and it'll be as good as possible on both systems, but to pick that particular sentence out of a 2 page article seems awfully convenient, maybe searching for some VG$'s?

i loved doom. this should be one of the best shooters this gen!

Nice article and screenshots...Rage is going to be a must-have title when it launches.

Too bad it's 2011 but it will be really good once it comes out.

Seconded.

How about a Utopian Society where you are the one causing the trouble.

That should get the anti VG crowd frothing at the mouth !
