Nintendo vs Sony vs Microsoft. Who'll win the E3 2010?

Nintendo 178 30.80%

Sony 270 46.71%

Microsoft 83 14.36%

I'm not sure 46 7.96%

Total:577

I don't know who will win.

But if it is only about Motion Control and 3D then I sure know who the losers are going to be

.......Us.

I'm surprise that Sony is leading the poll. Nintendo will do great with 3DS, Zelda, Vitality Sensor (Maybe???), and maybe one surprise.

The only surprise for Microsoft seems to be Natal (which could be good), and maybe picking up another PS3 exclusive (it seems they like to get one a year).

Sony will focus on Move, 3D, and hopefully announce some games for fall, but I just can't see anything amazing from them. I'm hoping for a PS Phone announcement though.

Nintendo, because no matter how good or a bad show they do,it will be the most talked about esp in forums and mostly bashed for what they "didn't" do.

Sure.

If you mean "AAA" properly, which is to say as a function of budget and sales expectations, then Monster Hunter Tri easily qualifies.

If you mean "AAA" erroneously, wich is to say as a function of perceived quality, then quite a few more games will qualify - that includes No More Heroes 2, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love, Red Steel 2, Endless Ocean 2.... I think the point is proven.

If you see Monster Hunter as AAA then so be it. Tatsunoku vs Capcom is a great fighter but I cannot consider it AAA, I am getting SSF4 today and I don't even consider it AAA. It is a yearly rehash, much like the old titles before Street Fighter turned to Alpha. No more Heroes 2 is AAA?...I don't even consider the No More Heroes coming to the 360 and PS3 a AAA. On the 360 and PS3 those would be considered average games. What is my love?....Endless Ocean 2?....Come on man...just say Zelda, Metroid and SMG2 and save yourself the trouble.

I don't "see" Monster Hunter as AAA, it objectively is a AAA game according to budget allotment and sales xpectations. That's an objective thing, and MH3 qualifies.

The things you consider AAA, as a person who does not own a Wii, have nothing to do with the consensus of those who play the games.

I don't think you actually have anything useful to contribute to the discussion concerning the Wii's library.

Monster Hunter might be a AAA....but some don't consider Crackdown 2 to be AAA despite its sales projections and budget costs. Do I knock them down? No. Monster Hunter has been raved about for a while so I can agree and yes I am at a loss for the Wii's library because I don't have one. I have been trying to find 5 games I can get into with the Wii, but sadly Sony has covered what I want in a motion controller with the Move and gave me my Mario Kart fix with MNR. I can admit my faults.

Crackdown 2 may not be AAA for the company producing it, whereas NMH2 would be for Grasshopper (in spite of being smaller in both budget and merket expectations - and even failing to meet the latter wouldn't detract from that). I don't know. I haven't been keeping track of Crackdown 2 (still playing the original).

If you admit that you lack perspective on the Wii's library, I think it fair to suggest you may not be qualified to criticize what games are available for the Wii at a given time. Agreed?

3DS and Natal will be the big talking points of E3, so either Nintendo or Microsoft will take the most hype from E3. That's my definition of 'winning' as the amount something is talked about can be measured, whereas satisfaction with a conference itself is difficult to actually get a figure for.

Pretty much agreed.  I expect MS/Natal to win over the "industry press" thanks to their unparalleled stagecraft, PR and pandering.

Sony is going to come in last I think though.  Unless they have something legitimately new and big (PSP2?), I just don't think Move with it's casual knock-offs, and a bunch of PS3 sequels to lukewarm series (Killzone, inFamous, Resistance, LBP) can really push them over Natal/slim or 3DS/Zelda.

June couldn't come soon enough. I can't wait to see everyones face when Nintendo gets shown up....................................................again. You guys must think the Move is a joke.

I don't think it's a joke, but it's too late and it's lineup is purely derivative.  There's just no excitement there, no mystery, no "new".

Nintendo and Microsoft will also probably have lukewarm sequels for their faithful (Pikmin 3?  Perfect Dark 2?) and few boutique surprises (The Last Story seems to fit here) but Natal, 3DS and Zelda will be HUGE unveilings.  Obviously it's early, but we haven't really heard of anything on that scale for Sony yet (though I think PSP2 is getting more and more likely).

It sucks that the only top game this year for the 360 is Halo: Reach.

See how I can ignore many games too?

Um no. The 360 has a AAA for every quarter this year so nice try. The PS3 has had great titles out this year as well. I am satisfied with both. The first AAA to hit Nintendo this year is SMG2....care to dispute that?

Sure.

Not to pick on you, but this here is the broader mindset that is the problem. The only games Nintendo can show to keep the media from tearing into them are Mario, Metroid, and Zelda, and as of last year, it looks like Mario and Metroid no longer qualify. So Zelda is left, and when the goal posts are moved again this year, then we'll see something interesting.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I didn't realize it was a competition. what do they have them doing, racing one another, arm wrestling or other feats of strength? declaring a winner of a presentation show is as asinine as declaring a winner of the NFL draft -- it doesn't mean shit because it doesn't reflect performance which is all that matters.

They are just starting up the motion controls. Nintendo went through the same thing. We all enjoyed it in the beginning...it became lackluster for somewhere though. The capabilities the move has, plus the camera and power of the PS3 is the selling point ontop of the capability for their still to be hardcore titles with a grade from normal controls to motion.

This topic is proving my point and E3 is still over a month away, yet still Nintendo is the most talked about already.
