I figured out why Monster Hunter Tri sold less than the PSP games

Cool, a poll 15 27.78%

I like voting in random polls 4 7.41%

I figured out how to vote in a poll 3 5.56%

I accidently clicked on the wrong option 17 31.48%

I just realized there was a poll 1 1.85%

It makes perfect sense 14 25.93%

Total:54

I like polls.

And how good the game itself is doesn't matter?
I mean one must remember that Tri is the best rated Monster Hunter based on metacritic (84). And the PS2 one is at 68.
That surely had impacts on the sales.

The bulk of MH sales happen in Japan where Metacritic has zero relevance. Besides, this topic is about MH on consoles vs. MH on PSP, not MH on the Wii vs. MH on the PS2.

Metacritic is just an indication of how good the game is. It's obvious Tri is more appreciated than the PS2 game (not only where metacritic matters...).

And you compared the sales of the Wii game to the PS2 one in your post.

Cool, a Poll! Also, yes, Asian guys do like to torture themselves more with harder game play, I can confirm that, lol....

It probably makes perfect sense, but I'll have to think about it for a while.

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

I always thought it was because Monster Hunter was kinda like Pokemon which is a game better suited to handhelds, I find it hard to grind on a console, but I have no problem doing it on a portable.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

must play online with other peeps with tri, single player becomes more boring after you've tasted the online.
