So Crytek are aiming for best graphics ever. No surprise there. Are they being bold? They have the credentials certainly.

Well the PC version certainly will be. Crysis 1 is still the best overall looking game released in recent years. The console versions will be good as well, but exclusives may surpass them, at least later down the road.

Credentials are nice, but acting like you're biggest thing to ever grace consoles is a bit overboard. I've seen them now tackle almost anything that moves, just to go "Crysis 2 is better".

Crysis 2 will have the best graphics for some time but in future there will be games both on PC and Consoles in which they will beat Crysis 2 in the Graphics section.

You can never have a 'best ever -' in the videogame industry.

Best graphics? I think thats more than a possibility. Theres nothing to suggest a company which has held that crown twice can't do it a third time.

Is that really important? Obviously the graphics are the star in this production.

how exactly a heavily downgraded console version will be the best looking game? ON PC i believe it will be the best but on a console that wont happen.

Ofcourse on PC and not on Consoles thats completly out of question.

they just want to build up hype, they dont know what other companies are working on.

I think the statement is correct as on PC it will look better than any other game, the console versions on the other hand probably will not but I'd welcome being proved wrong on that point.
